Laboratory Animal Allergens (LAA)

Website - LAA.jpg

Laboratory animal allergens (LAA) are a common occupational hazard within vivariums and other R&D facilities. Exposure to LAAs often results in sensitization, leading to occupational asthma among other difficulties. While no authoritative bodies have developed acceptable airborne levels of LAAs, many organizations establish internally acceptable levels. Pharma Risk Management Associates can perform sampling for the commonly encountered LAAs from mice, rats, cats, dogs, and rabbits. Let us help manage your LAA exposure program to stay in compliance with AAALAC and your local IACUC.
