Surrogate powder testing is a critical assessment for engineering controls. For newly designed equipment, it is vital that it performs to the desired containment level for the materials being handled. We have significant experience in designing and executing surrogate powder tests in accordance with the best practices as outlined by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). We help craft the most economical sampling plan based on your working OEL and containment performance target (CPT). We can perform testing with the more common surrogate powders such as naproxen sodium and lactose, and also with uncommon (but frequently useful) surrogate powders such as mannitol and sucrose.
